Surfing NSW and iconic footwear brand Havaianas have signed a two-year partnership, which will see both companies rolling out a range of events and activations.
Havaianas will be a partner for over 10 events and initiatives on the Surfing NSW calendar including sponsoring the NSW Team at the upcoming Surf Dive ‘n’ Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles and the 2017 and 2018 Havaianas NSW Grommet Titles at Maroubra.
Mark Youens, Aqueo Chief Executive Officer, Havaianas exclusive distributor, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Surfing NSW and to be supporting the next generation of Australian surfers.”
“Summer and the relaxed outdoor lifestyle is at the heart of the Havaianas brand and Surfing NSW perfectly aligns to our core values. We look forward to working closely with their team and seeing the junior surfers in action over the summer.”
Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden echoed similar sentiments.
“We’re blown away to have Havaianas as a corporate partner for the next two years,” said Madden. “Havaianas are an iconic brand that will fit perfectly within the Surfing NSW event structure and we couldn’t think of a better brand to partner with in developing junior surfers for the next two years.”
As part of the alliance, Havaianas will also be a partner for three major Sydney surf schools – Manly Surf School, Cronulla Surfing Academy and Wet’N’Wild Sydney Surf School.
Surfing NSW will be showcasing daily social updates from the Havaianas NSW Junior Team over the duration of the Surf Dive ‘n’ Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles, which will be used over all Surfing NSW social media platforms.
